SDUT 3 Research Achievements Win 2023 Shandong Science and Technology Awards

On July 26th, Science and Technology Innovation Conference of Shandong province was held in Jinan, on which the Decision of Shandong Government on 2023 Shandong Science and Technology Awards was issued.3 research achievements of SDUT won the awards. Among them, “Application of Key Technology in Magnetic Shear Thickening Finishing for Complex Surfaces” led by TIAN Yebing team from the School of Mechanical Engineering won the second prize of Provincial Technological Invention Award. “Application of Key Technology in Dynamic Coordinated Optimization of Urban Traffic Flow Group Control Driven by Multi-modal Big Data” led by SUN Feng team from the School of Transportation and Vehicle Engineering, and the project “Research and Demonstration of Green Processing Technology and Equipment for Marine Fish and Shrimp Food” by ZHU Lanlan team from the College of Agricultural Engineering and Food Science both won the second prize of Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.

At this commendation conference, 2 people won the 2023 Shandong highest Sci-Technology Achievement, 10 won the Youth Sci-Technology Award, 5 won the International Sci-Technology Cooperation Award, 49 achievements won the Provincial Natural Science Award, 30 received the prize of Provincial Technological Invention Award, and 186 received the Provincial Sci-Technology Progress Award.

In recent years, SDUT has geared its scientific research efforts to the national major development strategies and the regional socio-economic development needs. Placing a high priority on the output of high-level scientific research results, SDUT has adopted a strategy focusing on quantity as a foundation, quality as the guiding principle and “precise cultivation, meticulous guidance, and detailed service” as the objective. SDUT has systematically nurtured high-level scientific research achievements by leveraging disciplinary strengths and providing targeted guidance and classification. Additionally, young and middle-aged faculty members have been encouraged to apply for science and technology awards. SDUT will continue to enhance the organized research efforts, foster the creation of landmark scientific research outcomes, and contribute more significantly to national and regional socio-economic development.
