Recently, Shandong Provincial Education Department announced the winners of the 2024 Shandong Provincial Teaching Innovation Competition for College Teachers. Teachers from SDUT achieved excellent results, winning 6 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 1 third prize. Additionally, 3 teachers (or teams) were recommended to participate in the national competition, and SDUT received the Excellent Organization Award. Notably, the number of SDUT first prizes accounted for 11.76% of the total in Shandong Province, ranking first in Shandong province; the number of recommendations for the national competition accounted for 11.11% of the provincial total, ranking second in the province. Having qualified for the national competition for three consecutive years, SDUT has once again set a new record in the overall competition performance and the number of recommendations for the national competition.
This competition was organized by Shandong Provincial Education Department and launched in January, with 325 teachers (teams) from 73 universities in Shandong province participating in the on-site final. This year, a new Industrial-Education Integration Category was added to the competition, along with six other major categories: the New Engineering Category, the New Medical Category, the New Agricultural Category, the New Liberal Arts Category, the Basic Curriculum Category, and the Curriculum Ideological and Political Category, totaling seven categories. Each category consisted of three groups: senior, deputy senior, as well as intermediate and below. After the campus competitions, online evaluations of the provincial competitions, as well as on-site presentations and defense sessions, a total of 51 first-prize winners, 113 second-prize winners, 126 third-prize winners, and 8 excellent organization awards were selected. Shandong Province selected 27 teachers (teams) who won first prizes to represent the province in the national competition.
The prize-winning teachers from SDUT in this competition are as follows: Professor LIU Jianping from the School of Civil Engineering and Geomatics, who won the first prize in the Industry-Education Integration category and was recommended to participate in the national competition; Associate Professor ZHANG Baoguo from the School of Physical Education, who won the first prize in the New Liberal Arts Deputy Senior category and was also recommended; SHI Junzhi from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, who won the first prize in the New Engineering Intermediate and Below category and was also recommended. Additionally, Professor CHEN Yun from the School of Marxism won the first prize in the New Liberal Arts Senior category; Associate Professor LIU Lina from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering won the first prize in the New Engineering Deputy Senior category; GUO Nana from the School of Mechanical Engineering won the first prize in the Curriculum Ideological and Political Intermediate and Below Category. Associate Professor ZHOU Hui from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering won the second prize in the Basic Curriculum Deputy Senior category; SUN Na from the School of Civil Engineering and Geomatics won the second prize in the New Engineering Intermediate and Below category. Professor JIANG Ying from the School of Literature and Journalism & Communication won the third prize in the Basic Curriculum Senior category.
